Harry's Page My name is Harry. I am 8 and I live on a 44' boat called Tintin.
Me in Tonga.
In Tonga, I played with some boys and we used sticks to dig a hole on the side of a ditch. I love digging and making things and building fires. We caught a big sailfish in the middle of the Pacific on our way to Samoa. I chose the octopus lure. We caught two fish with it - this sailfish that you see here and a Baracuda that we threw back..
Me at Apataki. In Apataki we went fishing with Alfred and we fished with lines. I caught two Baracuda but we threw them back. We had to do that because they have this poison caused Ciguatera poisoning from broken coral. Small fishes eat the coral and then Baracuda eat the small fish and get the poison.
I like helping my dad on the boat. I like doing the sails and helping with the fishing. My favourite places so far have been Avignon, Bonaire and the San Blas Islands. I liked the bridge in Avignon. In Bonaire, I liked the really clear water and the parrot fish. They were really beautiful. I also liked the three wheeled motor bikes in Bonaire. In San Blas I had my friend George on Tintin. It was fun because we played with logs to make log canoes, we bought some little wooden boats that the Kuna Indian boys made and we made storage pits with coconut shells, bottles and stuff from the beach. I am starting to enjoy snorkeling. In Bora Bora, we went snorkeling with some friends. We had a family snorkel where we all held hands - not all of the time, sometimes we just swam around eachother. We saw lots of fishes. We swam over 2 kinds of rays - a grey one and a spotted eagle ray. I saw a beautiful red fish and also butterfly fishes. My favourite fish is a Sailfish. They are very beautiful animals. We were sad to kill it. We wanted to throw it back but it died while we trying to take the hook out. http://www.sailready.com |
